UK government introduces Vaccine Taskforce model to tackle four health challenges 28 Nov 2022
A fund of over £113 million has been announced today (28 November 2022) to develop innovative medicines and diagnostics for cancer, obesity, mental health and addiction in the UK population.
In a statement, the government said that by building on the successful Vaccine Taskforce model used in response to COVID-19, it “will continue to harness world-leading research expertise, remove unnecessary bureaucracy, strengthen partnerships and support the new healthcare challenges”.
