NICE invites feedback on health technology evaluations manual 11 Jul 2023

The UK’s National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has opened a public consultation on the first updates to its health technology evaluations manual, which was published in January 2022. 

 The manual covers the process governing how topics are chosen and directed for NICE guidance. 

 Comments are invited on two main changes to the manual, namely: formally incorporating NICE’s proportionate approach to technology appraisals into the volume, plus the revised approach to updating technology appraisal recommendations for COVID-19 medicines, which aims to speed decisions overall.
