EMA publishes overview of medicines recommended in 2022 21 Feb 2023
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has published its key recommendations for marketing authorisations in 2022 in ‘Human Medicines Highlights 2022’. The document states that it recommended 89 medicines during the year, of which 41 contained a new active substance that had not been authorised in the European Union previously. Public heath emergencies played a large part, resulting in recommendations for treatments for COVID-19 and monkeypox.
